Basic Policy

Minebea Group strives to contribute to higher quality, more comfortable lifestyles by providing truly valuable products and services. At the same time, the Group works to minimize the environmental burden of its activities and promote greater harmony, thereby contributing to the preservation and improvement of a healthy environment.

Activity Objectives

Minebea Green Procurement activity aims to clarify Minebea Group's "prohibited chemical substances" used in raw material, parts, components and packaging material, procured by the Group and to inform the Group and suppliers of such substances in order to reduce the environmental burden and achieve compliance with the related laws.

RoHS Exemptions List has been amended.
The exemptions list as of June 2011 is attached under "Download" section.
Exemptions are color-coded according to the expiration dates.

Please note that the exemptions from "Minebea Group Green Procurement Standard" have been amended as well since the substances that are exempt from RoHS Directive are also exempt from the Standard.

Please also note that lead in solders for the resoldering of thin copper wires of 100 μm diameter and less in power transformers is not exempt from the Standard although it is exempt from the RoHS Directive (specified under Annex No. 33).
